I’ll avoid the “stars” or “thumbs up/down” that is so over used, but go with more of a verbal recommendation based on sort of how I’m feeling. How’s that for commitment!
Basically I think of movies in a certain way.
- There are those movies that I’d turn off. Awful. For whatever reason.
- There are those movies that are so-so. I may enjoy bits and pieces, or not, but probably will not fess up to having watched.
- There are the movies that I say to myself, “I’m glad I saw it”. Not going to go out of my way to watch it again. Not going out of my way to recommend either.
- Then there are those movies that are good. And IF I knew that someone liked that sort of movie, I’d offer an unsolicited opinion or recommendation to see it. Otherwise if I’m asked, I’d tell what I thought.
- Then we have the kind of movie that I like, and will watch again. I’ll tell anyone to see it.
- And finally, the creme-de-la-creme of movies, are the ones that I could watch once every couple of months and still enjoy them.
